A webmaster panel that checks whether AI Overview cites a query you already rank for
Roland · 2 Nov 2026
ByteData connects Search Console, Bing, and Yandex. One credit reads a query you already rank for: whether an AI Overview is present, whether your URL is cited, which URLs are cited, and your organic rank.
Four lines, then it stops
One credit buys one keyword from the shortlist. The check writes four lines and then stops. Whether a Google AI Overview is present. Whether this site's URL is among the citations. Which URLs are cited. The organic rank.
If the lookup fails, that credit is returned. You are not left paying for an empty response. Rewriting the page, and whether a rewrite will be cited later, sit outside the four lines. The check has no fifth line for advice.
The keyword has to already be yours
The check runs on a Google or Bing query that a sync has already stored, and only when three conditions hold together. The query has impressions. The rank is about 3 to 15. The query is a question or a comparison. There is no box for typing a keyword on the way in.
That band is deliberate. Rank about 3 to 15 means the query already shows in your webmaster account, on the first or second page, and it is still close enough that an overview can sit above the result you have. A query with no impressions has nothing for the four lines to attach to. A query you only wish you ranked for never enters the shortlist.
Yandex stays in the panel because the webmaster account is connected. The citation check reads Google's AI Overview. Adding Bing to a host you already connected for Google does not spend another site slot. Until Google or Bing has synced a query that meets the shortlist, the check stays off.
After you sign in, the panel is overview, sites, keywords, and anomalies. Anomalies come from the synced rows: clicks down, impressions down, and impressions up while clicks go down. The drawing of a panel on the homepage is labeled there as a sample, not a customer's result. ByteData keeps the rows those webmaster APIs returned. It does not store a history the APIs never sent.

How to read the four lines
Overview present, and your URL among the citations: that query already appears inside the overview. Overview present, and the citations are other URLs: you have those URLs and your organic rank beside them, which is enough to decide whether the page you rank with is the one being cited. Overview absent: at the time of the check, this query has no overview. The organic rank is still there, so you can see the ordinary result without inventing an overview that did not render.
Mention rates inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are a different measurement. This panel does not make it. A missing Bing page is a Bing fact. It is not a ChatGPT traffic number. api.bytedata.ai is a separate product from this panel.
The hosted account, and the panel in the repo
A new account uses Solo limits: 5 sites and 20 checks a month, and it does not ask for a card. The prices printed on the site are $19 a month for Solo and $49 a month for Plus. Plus is 20 sites and 80 checks. After the month's allowance, $10 buys 200 checks, which is $0.05 each. A plan or a credit pack changes only after Stripe confirms the payment. One login. There are no team seats.
The repository GSC · Bing · Yandex Dashboard is the panel you run yourself. The price is zero. It has the three webmaster engines, and it does not include the AI Overview check. The rows stay on your machine. Use the hosted account when you want the check and the caps above. Use the repository when you want the three engines on a machine you control.
On Connect, you save an OAuth client from your own Google Cloud or Yandex app, add the redirect URI the page shows, and then authorize it. Bing uses the Webmaster API key for that account. DataForSEO is not a key this screen asks you to paste.
